Reckon? Ever seen one in the flesh? Ever manage to post even
    remotely correctly?

Hint: it isn't a plate. It looks for all the world like it should be
    where it is.

Those ones are not the 'real deal', but I have a friend with contacts
at the ART factory who's supplied them to one or two folks on here...

Ace, now that would be most helpful, any chance you could help then ?

Hmmm, not sure, TBH. He got a couple of them last year for folks he'd
met at the EOSM, but I'm not sure he's happy to just dish them out to
complete strangers, specially as I don't even know if his contact is
still active, IYSWIM. Now if you wanted to buy something, he could get
anything in the Art range, so I'll happily put you in touch with him
if you like. email me for details.

FYI the ones he got were not mounting bands like the link above, but
actually replaced the rivetted band at the rear of the silencer, so
    some molishing skills are required.

The link above does not show a "mounting band" - would that otherwise
be referred to as a strap? I suppose that the advertiser referring to
his product as a strap really doesn't help.

The link above does show a band that replaces one of the rivetted
bands that secure the can at front and rear. I bought the one I have
to replace a damaged band on my Scorpion can, thus enabling a rebuild
and a move closer to legality in one.

So it does. In which case it's going to be virtually identical to the
Art one and exactly the same to fit. Available for £7.50 at
    http://www.speedycom.co.uk/shop/customer/product.php?productid=16367&cat=0&page=1
so I'd suggest that the OP just get this one instead of bothering
    John.

There you go then - and that is the item linked to from the ebay page
that I posted the link to. Full circle, I think.

I wanted one of these to fix my can see - I knew they were available
but had lost the bookmark. When one popped up on ebay for sensible
money, I had it. It now does what it says on the can ...

Yeah, that was the point. I was retracting my earlier suggestions and
agreeing with yours. The link was just to help the OP.

Cheers Ace, its no big deal, just if it was 'easily' available I wouldnt
    mind one.

    Thanks

I say - this mutual back-patting is going a bit far.
