Presumably not for the same offense? Good luck!

Hmm, I wonder if Adie got any. It's gonna be quite a trip, from Basel.

one for "Exceeding 70mph on a Motorway" & one for "Driving without due
    care and attention".

Last advice from JP was to plead guilty to the speeding and not-guilty
to the other one, but I'll drop him an email to get the latest
    opinion.

When you say /Exceeding/, just how /exceeding/ do you mean?

well, the phrase above is how the actual summonse is worded. There's a
lot of accompanying crap, including a hand-written statement for the
**** of a copper who stopped us, explaining that we were followed over
a given distance at an "average speed of 86mph".

****, that's terrible - you're going to have to go to The North.

Clearly, you should take the defence that you were going through it as
quickly as possible on the grounds that it's all horrible. No
reasonable person could argue against that.

Now if you hadn't upset Bear, he'd be here to offer you tea and sympathy.

Maybe you could pay Bear to go instead and pretend to be you, after all
he was always getting off speeding fines by talking nicely to the
    authorities...

This isn't my best ever idea, obviously.

Don't bank on it. I did that and they adjourned it so I could turn up in
person. That just prolonged the agony.

I recall the story now. Does the 'appear' mean that quite literally?
