Arse, that's going to be expensive.

That explains why they were so keen on selling me a gel seat and an
    automatic lube system

I used to keep the lid off a Branston pickle jar under the seat for
    such uses.

Quite. I still reckon they're pretty good VFM though.

And fucking effective too and *far* better than the OEM and the usual after
    market screens.

If you manage to sort out a replacement Vario and you're left with the
hinges, I'd be happy to relieve you of them for a consideration. Beer tokens
or coin of the realm as both are acceptable to me. I fucked one of the the
hinges on mine when the bike lawn darted into a ditch. I've glued it into
one position, but it's now un-adjustable.

I had one on the K12, it was brilliant.

I know you were raving about them before - what exactly did it achieve
on the K12? Reduction in wind noise? You're a tall bloke anyway, I'm 6'
and, apart from the wind noise, seems pretty good as stock.

My Versys came with one from new so I took it for granted... until I
had to ride a customer's with a standard screen. The stock screen was
    absolute shite

It has a lip that deflects the wind over your head & away from the top of
the shoulders. They work a treat.
