AOfeckingL. My first 250 on 'L' plates. Total, *Total*, fucking shite.
No, just a larger capacity pile of shite.

The earlier 250 & 350K4s were cracking bikes however.

I had more sense... my 250 L plater was an RD250E - in silver.

On the morning of my 17th birthday, I got up at 5am and went for a blast
for a couple of hours (then home, change, brekkie, skool).

Pissed off all the rich kids at skool with their brand new supernightmares
    and cb 250 rs's

Spooky, mine was a silver 250D.
It was incredibly reliable and did substantial mileage.

  5. He's been trying to clear this for weeks. The 250 was gutless, shite,
    unreliable, heavy and handled badly.

Curiously, the 360 was rather better, apart from the dire suspension.
Still not very nice and worth eff-all.

You'd be far better off with a CB350, as JB says, but the classic racing
brigade is snapping them up and prices are getting silly.

and it looks like very good fun racing. Quite a few of them on the track
so spares must be getting thin on the ground.

  7. The Fang is excellent. Very posh bloke. I met him when I was in my
CB500T phase - swapped an engine for a set of guaranteed sorted carbs,
which got the fucker running properly.

Shirly they must run it with some sort of proper valve springs

  10. at least it's not a CJ250. worst POS I ever had, narrowly beating the
    CB100N for the privilege.

My mate had one of them, when the rest of the group had RD's, needless to
say we waited around for him often :)

It was colder, I found women much harder going and the pubs wouldn't
    serve me.

Are you home by this Tues evening?
