Never made it to that track, most of what I did was in Mississippi and
    Alabama in late 70s. Drove a 75 Firebird 6-cyl.
setup and actual driving style, on dirt, you can back it in and still
keep your tires, on asphalt you would hit the wall.
    No, ROC, http://www.imp.mc/rocwebsite/index.htm, completely different
    that IROC.

  2. Not bad, there was a owner of a auto repair shop that
dominated the Super Stock class in a 68' dodge that had a
440 magnum stock. She didn't just have a fast car...she was
    damn good.
I agree to a point...I've seen a car back it in on asphalt.
Successfully. I wish I still had the skill to do pendulum
turns, something circle track drivers never learn.

    I'll look into it...

A good driver with a mediocre car can typically outrun a mediocre driver
    with a fast car :)
Yes, you can successfully back it in on asphalt a couple of times, but
you will definitely lose positions compared to those who keep the
backend behind them. It takes a lot more work to keep it out of the
wall on asphalt than on dirt when the backend is trying to pass you.
The race is Dec 4th in France. I think it's covered by SpeedVision.

OK, I gotta ask. From a woman's perspective, what makes a good titty
    bar?

Yep. $20 on the cover charge. But you save so much more with all the
lap dances you DON'T want at the second place.

  7. For those too impatient to shell out 6 figures on Virgin Galactic, you
can get the same effect underwater.

    It's glorious.

    Larry.
I used a cheapo bullett type plug from Road Rider. It came in a kit with a
screwdriver type applicator. The trick is to use the applicator to clean/
ream the hole with plenty of cement first.

The funny thing is that a friend on a BMW got a flat and the BMW flat kit
was really not easy to use. we couldn't evin get the rubber "donut" into
the hole. Another friend pulled out this cheap kit and it worked great. So,
after the trip, BMW guy and I went to Road Rider :)

The only other real revalation is that you need at least 6 cartridges of
C02 to get any real tire pressure. The BMW Kit only provided 4 I think.
Good thing a few of us had some.

Chuck... Did you employ a sticky rope type plug that became part of the
    tire???

The BMW kit works, but it's tricky. I think the style of plug that's in
the kit is potentially more secure than the bullet type. Since any sort
of plug should be temporary at best, it's probably not an issue.

The "mushroom" or "patch" plugs are different - They go on the inside of
the tire and have never caused a problem for me after a few thousand
    miles.
My bike's kit came with 2. If you manage to plug the hole without a
total loss of pressure, and have a 160 or 170 tire, that's all you
really need to get you home. With a larger rear tire, you might be in
    trouble.

I got my tire patched today by Robbie (the "Super Tire Guy") at
    Subterranean Cycles. ( http://www.subcycles.com/ ). Took about 20
    minutes and $25.

Thanks Chuck... I employ a simple countersunk wood screw as a temporary plug
which is easy to install and will not jettison on the way home... then I
    will employ the permanent plug...
