  3. I have, and yet some fucktard has still bid on it.

I note it's a fresh account being used to bid for it though, so
hopefully it's just someone trying to feck the auction up for the
shyster concerned, or the shyster himself shill bidding.

What's the problem? The bid does seem a bit high, but I know **** all
about such things, but what's wrong with the ad?

Don't see what's wrong with it myself. If he catches out the fuckwits
who don't read the listing, then more power to his elbow I say. Might
    teach them a lesson.

Umm, because - despite what a skim-read would imply, he's careful to
state that he's not actually selling the console or the games he
describes in big red text, just a control pad and cables...?

Any auction that includes tiny grey text saying "I'm not breaking eBay
rules, I'm just describing the console and games to give people something
to read whilst they decide whether to bid on the cables" is an auction
placed by somebody who KNOWS he's taking the piss...

  7. If you can't work that one out for yourself, perhaps you might like to
have a bid on the item concerned. :)

    Nope, I still don't see a problem - he's selling a "Wireless control
for xbox 360". The give away is in the title and the description.

Are you seriously saying that some fuckwits would think he's referring
    to the xbox 360 itself?

Sorry, I just don't believe that anyone could be that stupid.

I skim read it and assumed that's all he was selling...

Still, you'd have to be a fucking retard to buy off eBay anyway.

  11. He is indeed... which makes you wonder why he needs to ramble on about
all the games he has etc. ;-)
You can get a controller new, for £29.99?

He's muttered something about other leads for one in there as well -
regardless, a complete new 360 Arcade is £129.99 now IIRC.
Like I said, some muppet has bid on it... twice.

I've 'Asked A Question' and asked if he'd consider swapping it for
    some magic beans.

  12. Depends what you're looking to buy, really.

<runs an eBay search on 'soap'>

I can see why you'd be disappointed, mind...

Remember when someone sold an xbox cardboard box for xbox money? Plenty
    of ebay fuckwits out there.

  14. Now there's an interesting generalisation. I and others have had no
    probs. What's your objection?

  15. Indeed... I've had some decent deals off of eBay.

What I don't like, is the new 've haf ways of making you use Paypal'
stance they've adopted of late when you're selling certain items.

Not exactly in the spirit of the 'free economy', is it, especially if
you read up on the policies relating to this.

I don't have a problem with that. If people are stupid eniough to bid
blind on a picture without reading the description then I'd be more
than happy to take as much money as possible from them.

Yep, that's what really kills it for me and why I've really stopped
    looking for and selling stuff.

My wife, previously a complete ebay virgin, has just been making some
puchases of old wooden skis and stuff (for decorative use) off
ebay.fr. She doesn't have a clue about anything more than the basics,
but managed to complete the transactions with no real problems.

On one auction whe didn't realise that "EBAYEURS A PROFIL ZERO SOYEZ
SYMPA CONTACTEZ MOI." meant she should contact the seller first, but
they didn't have any issues about it, and on another she made a rather
dense, but not serious, mistake - see if you can guess what it was:
    item 120304474291.

So yeah, I don't agree with Veggie's 'retard' comment, but it's clear
that there must be significant numbers of retards who get caught out
    by shit like this.

  19. The fact that there's only one stick, not a pair?

(Seller's FB isn't too good, either)
