Arai helmet question

I've bought myself an Arai Quantum F helmet, unfortunately it has
    arrived sans an instruction booklet.

Does anyone know how you are supposed to remove the visor from the
helmet? I've taken a look at the Arai site that gives general
instructions on removing the visor, but the instructions don't specify
the particular type/model of helmet they are referring to, and
following said instructions fails to allow removal of the visor.

All Arai visors remove in the same manner, you just have to be a little
brutal with the pulling them out, but you won't break anything, trust me
    on this.

Open the visor fully. Two little tabs will pop out. Lift the tabs up at the
same time pull the visor up.
The tabs will pop off from time to time and the side pods will also pop off.

Heh, I recently bought a new Arai Astro to replace my old Shoei.
The Shoei visor system is *so* much better, IMO.
And the Arai side pod things make the lid a lot noisier, I never used to
bother about earplugs, but on an Arai its a must.

  9. Just "over-open" it. It'll sound like it's breaking, but it ain't.

Isn't that the definition of a Porsche 911?

My last Arai, a Freddy Spencer replica from 1986,
was an excellent design well built, but I guess
300 quid was a lot of money then.

Shoei on the other hand are good design at least in the visor clip area. And
    the build quality is good.

A 1996 Freddy Spencer rep Arai would still be classed as well made, even
when compared to some of the current 300 quid offerings.

  20. The Doctor has still got a Kenny Robert (snr) rep Shoei, dating from
about 1985. Feridax were the UK importers then. Still are, I think.

Prototype for the UK, so no ACU etc stickers. Lovely lid, but Gawd knows
where you'd find a visor these days.
