I got given a brand spanking new one of these as a courtesy bike, so here's a quick write-up (in the order I discovered things): The tank is plastic, so tank bags don't stick. Bungee points are, however, good. The seat is a bit too wide to get comfy on. Plenty of grunt compared to a CB500, and much more flexible, although it runs out of steam rather suddenly as it hits the rev limiter at 10k RPM. I have idea how fast it is, though, since the speedo was broken. The rain/touring/sport switch is amusing but still doesn't stop the back end stepping out on wet diesely roundabouts. Possibly it's my hamfistedness, I dunno, but the CB500 on BT45s feels a lot more secure even with wooden suspension. It goes round corners nicely. Wheee! It coasts nicely down hills in neutral when you forget that the garage warned you that they only put a couple of litres in and you run out of fuel. It is quite heavy to push in the rain. It's very difficult to fill with petrol, because there's a little sleeve inside the tank filler which makes the pump think it's overflowing all the time. Also, my textile jacket is no longer waterproof.
