There are horror stories associated with every bike ever made. The difficulty is finding one that's been well cared for even if it's been used hard. -- Lozzo Versys 650 Tourer Fireblade 929 (For sale) CBR600F-W trackbike SR250 SpazzTrakka, SR250 wivva topbox TS250C RD400F, somewhere I see a bright new future, where chickens can cross the road with no fear of having their motives questioned
Well, if my Tuono's anything to go by, great bikes. Neutral's a bit hard to find and the vacuum slipper clutch (I assume the older Mille has the same) is rumoured to wear out the clutch a bit quick, which is why mine's blanked off for road use. Clocks are incredibly comprehensive; loads of functions. I've not used half of mine. This reminds me: if the battery's at all below par, sometimes the engine kicks back when started and this isn't good for the starter clutch. Also bloody irritating because the clocks reset to KPH, the trips and clock zero themselves and the shift light resets to 6000RPM. There are some tuning difference between the Tuono and the Mille, so I doubt it would be worth me going into much more detail.
That may be so, but the year that Aprilia launched the Mille (1999) all the ones entered at Le Mans finished, whereas none of the entered Ducatis did.
