  2. Hey, I've experienced that too....the significant other grew up
around Moruya, and those bloody Yogis are a terror on holidays and weekends.
I don't know why Canberrans drive so sedately when in canberra itself,
but get them on the open road, with maybe a boat behind them, and they
turn into complete assholes. Amazing how they travel at 90 when it's one
lane each way, then hit 110 on overtaking lanes when everyone tries to pass.
Mind you, the same could be said for pretty much everywhere else on
the coast on long weekends/ holidays.
My girlfriend's father actually lost half his leg on a bike just south
of Batemans Bay after some tool clipped him on his bike.

    Regards, Andrew.

I've said it before, and I'll say it again. I don't understand why
motocross boots have nice big metal caps around the toes - there
aren't any taxis in the bush.

All together now.... "lots... fo.... tickets" :)

In my younger days I used to turn around in the seat and wave them back with
my left hand, this was a clear message that they were too close, if they
didn't back off I would reach in to my left pocket and pull out a 20mm steel
ball bearing and hold it up to show them, they usally backed off . I only
let go of one, as the smart arse came closer, it cost him a windscreen.
These days I am a much calmer person and I don't do shit like that.

I dunno, I was driving past so I didn't stop to chat.

(But I would imagine so, given how many people ignore the T lanes
    limits)

If names can't (or won't) be named, it defaults to the registered
owner. Traffic laws are littered with little conveniences that help
keep them out of courtrooms. Governments don't like lawyers fees
    cutting in to their profits.

I do that in a car all the time. As for bikes, it's a bit more risky, as
if they don't notice you slowing down you're in trouble.

One trick that is useful is to double your following distance (to the
car in front). That way, if something happens in front of you, you've
got twice the time to slow down, giving the car behind you more time to
notice and hit the brakes (hopefully not cleaning you up).

    Cheers,
    Phil

Just to add to that, I also generally increase my following distance if
the cage in front is tailgating someone.
