It doesn't seem to be affecting the bike/car restoration/tuning
industry though. The companies who haven't wanted my money over the
    past week include:

bike-paint.co.uk who I emailed about candy red paint for the Raptor[1],
    but haven't replied.

JHS Racing, who I emailed about which of the well-known TLS mods I
should do before booking in for a PCIII dyno setup, but haven't replied.

Wyldes, who appear to have forgotten to add Flowliner tank sealer kits
to their online ordering, even though the Flowliner website takes you
to the Wyldes website to order it.

So somebody else will be getting the paint order (don't know who yet),
PDQ will be getting the dyno work, & Frosts will be getting an order
    for POR15.

[1] Ping Beav - any idea if that was an original Cagiva colour, & what
    the code might be?

Have you tried RS Bike Paint? http://www.rsbikepaint.com/

I got paint from them for the Divvy a couple of years ago.

It's not listed on their site, but I'll drop 'em a line & ask.

I'm wondering now if JHS lurk (or someone tipped them off), as they've
just replied. Unfortunately they've completely ignored the whole point
of my email, which was to ask which if any of the mods I should do[1],
& just said 'yes we can do a custom map'. No shit, Sherlock!

[1] I only asked as they're self-proclaimed experts on the Suzuki
    V-twin engines.

And now bike-paint.co.uk have replied! So the moral to this story
appears to be if you email a bike parts/services supplier, follow it up
with a post here to ensure a reply.

I probably will for any big jobs, but I'm just after a touch-up stick
for paint chips at the moment.

Speaking of pink, how's the flesh tone after the weekend?

    Purple in my case.

My elbow looks as if it's got a golf ball attached to it and is rather
badly bruised. I might have to go to the local walk in medical centre
and have it looked at if things don't improve over the next couple of
days. My left ankle also has a degree of bruising but doesn't ache as
much as my elbow so I suppose I should be thankful for small mercies.

I wouldn't mind so much if I'd been pissed when I launched myself off
    that fucking wall.

I've jumped off that on a few occasions and every time I've expected my
ankle or knee to give way on landing.

Incidentally, are you around any particular weekends over the next
month? I'm going to do the unthinkable and book a tunnel crossing and a
night in a hotel somewhere between Brussels and Leuven. Shocker!

    We're not here between 24/07 an 08/08.

Somewhere between Brussels and Leuven sounds disturbingly like my house.

K, I might aim for the weekend after that then.
It also sounds disturbingly like Brussels airport.

For a habitual shade dweller, there was a distinct shortage of that
particular commodity over the weekend. Half-drowning any possible
areas that might become exposed in the highest factor sunblock
available locally (SPF 30, for seventeen fucking euros) succeeded in
keeping what might have become an all-over purple tragedy down to a
dull roar. Backs of the hands are a bit tender, but now I've had six
showers they're nearly as pale as the rest of me - however, there's a
certain amount of scalp irritation due to not wearing a hat.

I assume you, as a veteran Chimaygoer and almost local, got away with
it? You were certainly better prepared for the conditions than I was.

I'm still rehydrating, mind - I really have no idea how much Bleu I got
through, but it didn't reappear from the usual place.
