AON - Green slips

Discussion in 'Australian Motorcycles' started by James Mayfield, Feb 16, 2005.

  1. Just been told, AON no longer do motorcycle greenslips.

    Who else does cheap greenslips?

Yeah I called Aon last month they said they were swamped for business so
stopped doing them. Doesn't sound like a good business strategy to me but
there you go. QBE was next cheapest.

NRMA does mine, mid January price was $247.50 for 1,000cc Suzie.

Greenslips aren't necessarily somewhere you want volume, because the
    longterm liabilities can be high.

Mind you, as bike greenslips are incredibly overpriced on average
compared to amounts paid out in claims against, you'd have to do a lot
of very cheap ones to even think about being out of pocket.

Do you have comp insurance, and is it with them?

That seems to be the biggie with NRMA, comp insurance.

Although there may be something about newer bikes too...

    - who can't see why the age of the bike has anything to do with how
dangerous it is to other people, but then greenslips aren't about
    logic.

you know the 2000 model GPX has much better safety features and is a whole
    lot safer
    than the 1989 model

lol according to the NRMA anyway

On average it's probably true: 11 years less bad maintenance.
