    Joking (a bit)
I've not had time to ride for a few weeks.
Trumpet starts like dream on first prod.
Armstrong? Start? You're having a fucking larf....

I shall go back to kicking the bloody thing later; maybe even using the
    kickstart lever....

I gave up kick starting big singles when I sold the Husky 510. Has it
got a proper valve lifter or one of those poxy decompression valve
    things?

I used to have the drill pretty well worked out when I had a 500
Matchless (not Rotax but AMC 1950's]. Easy if you have a valve lifter
and manual ignition advance retard lever. Retard the ignition, turn
motor to just after TDC using the valve lifter. Release lifter and give
a *long swinging kick*. Then bow three times towards [Plumstead|Hall
Green|Small Heath|...] as appropriate to the marque being persuaded into
    life and repeat...

    Not sure to be honest.....
Deffo don't have the ignition retard unless you mean me......
I think this may be important :)
Heh. The bloody thing started second kick after I posted :)
Obviously there some sort of Rotax deity that can only be appeased with
    an offering of public embarrassment.

I shall shortly go and see how hard a 'warm' start is ;)

    Obviously not enough.
Warm start was fine. 20 minutes of riding followed by a red light at
some road works. Filter to front and sit there on the clutch.
    Wrong.
Clutch starts to drag like ****, refuses to go into neutral and I have
    to stall it.
Walk it to the other side of the cones.
Despite much sweating and kicking it will not start until it has cooled
    down a bit.
Off we go again until the next junction I have to stop at; repeat the
    above.

The clutch appears to be dragging when it gets hot.
I'm not sure how adjusting it is going to help; the lever has some free
    play.
I haven't checked the clutch end but it's fine unless pretty hot.

    Any advice welcome.

Annoying. Will it snick in if selected while still rolling?
Sounds like plate swell and or notched plates/hub splines or something.
I would be looking for a throw out lever adjustment at the clutch end,
or possibly an adjustment screw and locknut in the centre of the
pressure plate. But I know nothing of four stroke Rotax single engines
except that despite everyone assuming that they did, the Nordwest didn't
    use one.
