Bike Treads in Swindon have got Dave Jeffries 2001 TT bike (a V&M
Racing R1) sat in their workshop, for sale on behalf of the owner. He
wants "£6-7k for it". Sounds expensive to me, but wibble.

I imagine for a collector and DJ enthusiast that's about right.

You could collect the set. His 2000 TT bike is in the window of Hein Gericke in
    Birmingham.

My boss[1] had two of DJ's old TT winning bikes[2] in our showroom foyer
a while ago, dunno where they are now. They were sitting next to one of
    Joey's old Vimto SP1s and an ex-Sheene Suzuki TR750.

[1] Close personal friend of Tony, David's father.
    [2] An R1 and an R6.

Correct, there was no TT racing on the IOM that year.

My employer owns at least two bikes used by DJ in his career, also an
ex-Joey Dunlop bike and an ex-Barry Sheene bike.

Was it? Perhaps it was 2002 then. It definitely looked used.

  10. This is where you tot up all the bikes raced by DJ and find people own 5
times the amount of bikes he rode :(. Racing bikes are like that. Take
the frame thats one, take the engine that's two, Take the spare from
from his mates R1 that he rode 1/2 mile on before it blew up, that's
    three.............

Well, being as our boss bought the R1 and R6 from DJ's father, I'd say
they were both pretty genuine. Same goes for the ex-Joey Vimto SP-1,
that's another genuine bike and in just finished a TT trim.
