Anyone thinking of visiting Vosges?

    Hi everyone,
I'm new to this part of the Web/World.

I've been reading your posts for a while, and enjoying it too.
Many of you seem to ride over to France fairly often, so I thought you might
like to remember that France does not only mean Dieppe / Cherbourg / Calais
    / Paris...
If anyone on UKRM ever fancies coming down this way, don't hesitate to let
me know, I can probably arrange to put you up or something. I'd be delighted
to meet UKRM folk, as that would make a nice change from the French variety
    (I hope!)

François -- (I ride a 1200 Trophy, live in Nancy in the East of France
(between Paris and Strasbourg) The Vosges are a lovely area to visit, even
    in winter...)

I was there in August, on an orange fireblade. Did you see me?

'Fraid not;... I was in Cevennes, in the South of France then... Hot, quiet
and pure joy to ride in.

I was in Etain near to Verdun, there was no-one around! Straight roads,
    twisty roads and no cars
    bliss.

Not likely, the majority are winos.

I do hope you have read the ffaq. Follow any link you find to the ukrm
cbt, a lot less painless on the whole.

Can you get chicory in supermarkets down your way?

We were down your way last year, but a broken gearbox lever meant we
had to bypass the Vosges. They looked nice, though. Maybe we'll manage
    it again sometime.

Yep, there's even skiing there: possibly the nearest continental
skiing to the UK. First time I've encountered rain on a skiing holiday
though. Amazingly, the pistes (well, the ones that were open) didn't
disappear despite two days of wet weather.

  9. There was downhill skiing in the Vosges before WW2, believe it or not.
