anyone out for a ride/training/lunch this Sunday?

  1. My headlights have arrived in the post this morning, so tomorrow will
entail some spannering and sparking to fit them, and sort the rear
indicators. I'll also be picking up my new Uberboots so....

I should be well sorted for some riding on Sunday.

I really really could do with following some people who's lines are
good, because mine are far from. I'm not bothered about fast at the
moment, but I'd like to be smooth [1].

Anyone up for showing me the 'Fot, or any other riding in the South
East? Perhaps combining some form of pub foodage?

    [1] don't.

I'm hammering Cane at racketball first thing Sunday morning, but -
providing I can find enough circular tuits to buy a new battery on
Saturday - I might be out and about on the 'blade for the first time
this year later on Sunday morning/lunchtime - probably just going to
pootle up to the King's Oak @ High Beach, rather than a proper ride,
    though.

I can't be bothered to Google, but I'm sure you've said that
pretty much every Friday this year.)

FWIW, mine has been on the Optimate for two weeks, the Optimate
is showing a nice green light but I haven't been out this year
yet, either. I might try if I can fit some time in between watching
    rugby & drinking beer.

  4. Ahh yes - that reminds me that he's asked me to show him how it's done
    at some point too.
Well it would be a reasonable ride for me, but I'd prefer to be riding
with others, as opposed to meet others, if that makes sense?

sure - I'm pretty rusty at the moment, and don't feel like anything
particularly challenging for the first ride of the year (though this
might change as soon as I get the bike going, IYSWIM).

look, face it - you might have been able to win a couple of games
against the Blane, but you've never scored more than 6 points against
    me in any one game...

    Room for improvement, uncle.

Quite. I always think "I'll take it easy for the first few rides
of the year" and then find myself hooning around like I've not been
away from the bike at all within a few miles.

Of course, this will one day end in tears.

me neither - it's just that my aim is to crush my oponents
    mercilessly.
How's your stamina, though - feel up to playing 90 minutes[1]?

[1] I /assume/ you've just booked the one session for Sunday?

Heh, I watched this (yet again) on RTE t'other night.
I think we'll have it above the door as a corporate mission statement!

It's club rideout on sunday, so it's either Burnham
Bends or Crooked Mile, depending on weather and
mobile speed cams - might see you there!

If I do venture out, my lines are shite, but this will not necessarily be a
