21 Turbo!! **** that brings back memories. Redefined "Torque Steer" and
    "Front Tyre Wear". Fun though.

I think they were trialling molasses (rather than Tate & Lyle Finest White).

If anything it should be better as it won't cause your bike to dissolve
    quite as quickly.

Yeh, my one was. It had a modified turbo, intercoolers, adjustable dump
valve and randomly on / off ABS. Overtaking was a case of getting the
thing lined up, then nailing it / letting off with loud whooshing noises
when it decided to wheel spin.

You can do something about stopping your bike from dissolving, you can't
add grip when you've got none though.

A number of people here have commented about this. My interest was
peeked, when someone I didn't know came up to me and commented about how
I must be having trouble with these extra slippery roads on my bike.

If it's affecting car drivers too, then I think it's got wider safety
    considerations.
    I think so, yes.

Yeah I know, I was trying desperately to get the arse end hanging out in
the sleet that was falling this afternoon. Not a chance. Fucking
    modern gadgetry I hate it.

What snow? Sure, there was some around when I left home, and it was
falling, but there was none on the road - and I took the scenic route
    to work looking for it!

[1] This is a generic comment, not snow related.

I commented in here, on this very subject, two - three months ago, only
slapped round the back of the head by nasty Master Simes, and told to 'stop
    being so stupid, boy'.

Maybe I was, in the face of denials from the local cuntcil, right after all,
with regards to the 'salt' appearing to be of a different, potentially more
    dangerous, variety, this year.

Anything that stops your arse hanging out gets my vote.

Technology? Fucking marvellous stuff, we should have more of it.

So the roads are greasy because, well, they've got grease on them?

This was done a while ago iirc, & someone 'in the know' (or
bullshitting) reckoned it was the anti-caking agent that retained
    moisture & led to slippyness.

Ah yes - Seven Springs/Birdlip. The local news have had some bloke
stood on Birdlip showing us all the snow for the past couple of
nights. I heard everything came to a standstill yesterday morning
after somebody missed a gear or something.
