Anyone near Bodmin who could look over a bike for me?

What kind of looking over? I don't really know my arse from my elbow. I
always take a friend to look over stuff I'm buying.

Plus, where exactly in Bodmin? It's full of inbred delinquents. I
wouldn't want to go to some spots without armed escort.

 

Lots of decent photos would do, a check for any death rattles (bit of
video maybe if you're not sure), & ideally a short spin up the road to
make sure the clutch isn't slipping & the brakes aren't warped (not too
fussed about that though).
