Oddly, I'm searching at the moment.

Eurotunnel booked through Quidco looks pretty good.

Or put it another way; it's inexpensive enough for me not to be bothered
    to look too much further

Book early. Book off peak, avoiding weekends. Getting a late crossing a
day early and stopping in a 30 Euro motel on the other side can
sometimes save you £s and makes the onward journey more relaxed as you
get an early start in France.

Tesco Clubcard vouchers will give you 3x their face value on Eurotunnel.
Need to apply for vouchers from Tesco first. Tickets have a +/- 2 hour
window so a cheap ticket for a 5am crossing will be accepted for one at
    7am without any extra charge.

http://www.leisuredirection.co.uk/ might be able to get you a discount
on an expensive crossing if you are going with a camper van or trailer.
Less likely with a bike, which tend to be fairly cheap anyway. Tell them
you are attending a motorsport event as they are the company behind
Motorsport Travel (although the website for that division is dead, so
they may not operate it now).

    Some discoounts at http://www.quidco.com/travel/ferries/

Tank range envy is fine until you get to the fuel pumps.
