Anyone know a cheap alloy welder?

    It's around an engine mount you senile old ****. Of course it's load
    bearing.

    I used JB Weld successfully on the sump of the GSXR, just used a dremmel to
    put a grove into the crack then filled it with the gunk. Lasted a year no
    worries - sump has just been removed and sent for a proper welding job.

    The crack was through the plug threads and around an inch up the side. I
    managed to seal it without removing the sump :eek:)

    Bought the stuff from halfords IIRC.

    steve auvache had a fit and wibbled.....
    Its a single cylinder motor that vibrates. It's suspended from the
    engine mounts with no support underneath the motor and there is only a
    single downtube on the front of the frame. It's under alot of load.
