anyone know a bike mechanic who actually gives a phuck!

in the adelaide area who is at one with DUKES!
i'm sick of money-hungry-can't-be-assed dickheads who think just cos
they owned a form of motorcyle , they are entitled to be called mechanics.

hmmmm kinda sounds like the IT industry really doesn't it ROFL!

Well, Phil at the Bike Factory rebuilt my single into one of the quietest
and smoothest ones Gowie had ever met, built a very good 888 racebike
out of a rather dodgy 851, and has a breathed on 750 Paso that frightens
the bejesus out of late model 900SS's.

He doesn't work cheap, but he's a perfectionist who knows both bevels and
belts, you get what you pay for no question. If you give him his head,
you'll get a top class bike back.

I am a bit biased cos he rebuilt my 2 favourite bikes and did
show-winning jobs on both of them. THe single's current incarnation is
also indecently fast when anyone but me's riding it...

Ducati now have a stand alone store in Adelaide,perhaps those mechanics
should be phoned and see if you can shed any light on your project

Ducati are not rocket science why not invest in some quality tools and
service manuals,NOT that you would have to use either all that much !
