Anyone in Sydney...

Anyone in Sydney got a bike in pieces where I can photograph the various
    bits?

I'm writing some basic "How your bike works" webpages for my wife's club,
and I want to get some pictures of the parts I'm actually writing about. I'm
rewriting parts of my Haynes basic motorcycle book for the text content, but
I don't want to scan copyrighted pictures. Sadly I don't have a bike that I
can pull apart, (and I'd screw it up anyway).

I live near Drummoyne and am happy to travel anywhere within the metro area,
and have own digital camera (obviously).

    Cheers Manning

Well.. I have a shed full of Guzzi parts in various stages of
togetherness, but I suspect they wont' be useful. The gearboxes don't
open up the way most bikes' gearboxes do, the crank's not connected to
anything, neither are the barrels/pistons, I have several drum brakes in
all stages of completeness but i can't see you being interested in
    that...

even Guzzi valve gear won't help much :)

Anywhere within the Newcastle-Bathurst-Bowral-Wollongong perimeter is fine.
Any parts are cool, this is for absolute beginners and regardless I'd like
to build up a library of pics for possible later use.

I'm interested - drum brakes are cool. This is for absolute beginners, and a
number of these riders have got rear drums anyway. Ultimately I'd like a
photo library of just about everything imaginable as I might have use for it
later. If you've got a disassembled cylinder of any description that would
    be great.

Yeah, Guildford is metro - I think I should have said "greater metro area".
I was actually happy to go as far as the Gong, Newcastle or Bathurst, fun
    fangs in all directions.

Anyway, you're only 10-15 mins from my place, and you've got everything I
was interested in - all of it sounds very worthwhile, especially the GPX and
the 2-strokes. Send me your details offline or contact me on 0413-878-186

OK. Might have a weekend free soon, for garage excavation....

Maybe u could try ringing some of the wreckers? Perhaps they might let
you go and take photos if you explain it is to help beginners. After
all, the more experienced beginners are, the more likely they are to
buy bits and do the job themselves, especially if you give the
wreckers a plug on the website...??

I've found Eastern Creek wreckers always to be pretty friendly and
    very helpful.

    Cheers.
