Anyone in Swansea insured to drive a transit on 3rd party cover

Hi all, I have recently bought a transit van in Swansea and will be there
late Monday or early Tuesday next week to collect.

The van is moted and taxed, recently serviced professionally and is ready to
    drive anywhere.

Problem is this, I am a Scot living up in Norway but moving back to the UK
in September permanently, so I bought this UK vehicle in order to drive up
to Newcastle and get the ferry back here to collect and transport our
household stuff back to Scotland. Seemed like a great idea but

My insurance company here will not cover me even for a short period for a UK
registered vehicle being driven on UK soil.....period. Even though I have
70% NCB on my policy here.

So I am bit stuck now for insurance cover for the trip from Swansea up to
    the boat.

I then thought that maybe there was a motor cycle owner living in Swansea
that could meet me, load his bike into the transit, drive the van on third
party cover up to Newcastle , get back on his bike and drive back to
    Swansea.

I have my bike license and experience moving bikes around and so does my
mate whose coming over from Norway to see a bit of the UK. So the lifting of
    the bike is no problem.

Seems like a good plan to me, of course anyone doing it would be paid an
agreed amount but would need to have a good driving record, preferably with
    a clean license.

Timings are this...the van needs to be up in Newcastle at 12 midday on
Wednesday 04.08.2004, not a minute later.

If anyone's interested, then mail me with some info and an estimate of what
you think would be a fair payment.

I have not yet finished my attempts to organise some sort of cover from here
so the above is a last resort but its worth considering.

    Regards Alan
