.... who could collect a broken laptop, if I'm the high bidder?

The one we have has a broken case, so I want to transplant the inners
into a good case. I did buy a replacement laptop but the main user has
decided she doesn't like it and wants her old one.

The next question would be about URing it towards the ferry ports as I
expect to be across in November.

  2. And if you don't go over, I'll definitely be going over at some point
in order to collect some things from my old man's "estate".

Of course, whether I remember to bring any of it back with me will
    remain to be seen.[1]

[1] thought I'd save you the trouble.

    Heh! I'd forgotten about that.

We're definitely going to be over for a couple of days in the first week
of November (school hols) to do a bit of shopping. Thinking of a couple
of days around Brighton as we've never spent any time around there.

I'm pretty sure we can do the collect from Manchester and get it a lot
further south if that'd help? DNC has said he'll be over before too
long so maybe he can get it from Bedford to mainland Europe.

From my point of view you can bring it down because the useless ****
(your words) is visiting in the next few weeks and if he chooses to
drive rather than use the train it's job done.

I'll be in all day on Monday so bring it anyway. It's moving it to
warmer climes which has to be good for the bike and I can always make
you a brew when you're here.
