It's not zero maintainance though is it? Not when you're doing things
    properly.

Look, I'm trying to book a session with my rehydration consultant. I seem
to have developed a massive beer deficiency.

This is the UK. I'd be able to tell the difference if beer was coming out
    of the taps.

    Whinging Courier scribbled:
10 minutes every week? Or every wet ride? And cleaning the rear wheel
is a lot more hassle cause the chain lube is thicker and stickier than
    just oil.

And the chain lasts a lot longer with a snotoiler (there's obviously
exceptions to this, you being one).
We don't like pissing about oiling the chain every week/ride?

Fit the SO, fill it up every 3~4 months, forget about everything else.
As Steve said, SOs do do it properly.

I find having the dripper going on to the top of the chain where it does
into the front sprocket housing leaves the back wheel cleaner, and the
    chain still oily.

I'd sooner clean, check and lube my chain on a semi regular basis than
rely on something mechanical doing part of the job and me just
    forgetting about everything else.

I've had a chain break on me once in over 30 years of riding and
having had it lock the back wheel solid, bend the clutch push rod,
wreck the push rod seal and smash a chunk out of the casing I'd sooner
not have the same happen on a bike like a 10R.

It's been a hard week, pre easter exams and all that. I'm determined to
get out and about for a break this year, I need one. Haven't gotten a
proper holiday since last year in Yorkshire.
