Ahh well, diplomacy was never my long suit - subtle as a brick through
    a window.
Yebbut, the speed limit is so low you're hard pressed to exceed 15
degrees of lean angle down it any more

It looks quite nice, I'd be curious to hear your ride report - the
only person on ausmoto who rode one hated it.

Hmmm, speed limit on Old Road = 60 kph, even the Z50 could do in my
    licence there. :-(

BTW, today's cop report, 1 standard white HP car, 1 gaudy blue APEC car,
and four RIBs full "serious" looking cops and/or spooks.

The RIBs were blasting up the Hawksbury River and posed no threat to us,
    but were a noticeable sight.

Oh, and the "regular" HP car flashed at us.

What? Opened the doors so you could see the dicks inside?

Yesterday, I had a quick look, at Action in P'matta.

The sales person, who was disguised as a cute young lady, said that they
were selling as fast as they could get them.

While they lack the trendyness of a wee scooter, they do look a very
    attractive city commuter bike.

    Very close, Theo. :)

One of my father's favourite sayings, wrt driving, was that flashing
headlights only meant that the car in question had headlights that worked.

  7. It's not half the price, that's the problem - the difference is about $1k
when you figure in the "on-road" costs.

Normally the difference'd be closer to the $2k mark, but Kawasaki currently
have a promo going on the GPX250, $5990 on road.

Not a problem, if I get one it'll be from http://www.motorcycledisposals.com.au
    anyway. ;-)

....and I think that Kawasaki is running such a good deal on the GPX250
because of the combination of this Honda, that Chinese 250[1], and the
Hyosungs. After 20 years the R&D should have been paid off on it, and
since they're selling a 20-year-old bike I'm not surprised to see bit
    of trimming of the price.

[1] I can't think of the name of it right now, it was a 250cc single
with a full fairing. I'll probably remember the name at about 02:00
    tomorrow morning.

    It's not old enough, Johno! I'm putting a 125cc motor in a CD90 for
    next year's mount. ;-)

Here's the starting point, with a very siezed-up motor:

  13. Ummm... Care to elaborate, for those of us who've been here less than a few
    years?

Is "Maggies" someone we should watch out for, despite being in hiding?

Zongshen and Zarqin (IIRC) are both selling 250's - the latter has a
cruiser and a naked I think the former is the one you're probably
    thinking of

Yeah, the only way you can push a bike's capability along there
without at least doubling the speed limit would be to be riding quite
a wee bike. The DNA was a hoot along there when I bought it back from
    Gosford

Yes but you're on the gsxr750 (is that a "gixxer"?).. you can probably
pass me flat chat in 5th without redlining in second yourself (or maybe
    need 3k of revs in 3rd ..)
