A mate bought an XW GT phase 2 around 16 years ago for $13k. It's still in
his shed, covered in dust. He does know the value of it too, and appreciates
it. It is NOT for sale.

Reason it's in the shed is it had rear end panel damage. Other than that
    it's complete and original

If the tank is more than half full, probably. ;-)

Actually, to be fair the Niva was a nice wee bit of design, but the
actually implementation was doomed from the start.

Back then the italians weren't too famous for decent electrics, and
russian imitations of italian stuff was even worse.

If someone offered me a properly rebuilt, Fiat engined Niva, fully
rewired etc. I'd almost be tempted.

Angie used to have one, years ago, and it was, on a good day, a useful
    beastie.

She doesn't have stripes but is a bit of a tiger sometimes.

I hear they had a heated rear window so you hands would stay warm while
    you're pushing!
