Anyone ever had a cb450 nighthawk

I've seen one locally, it's an american import and has had upgraded carbs
(more suitable for british climate).
It's semi custom styled which suits me as i'm a shortarse.
I have ridden it and engine appears very smooth and quiet,no nasty knocks or
rattles it's got MOT and tax to december and is on an X plate which I think
makes it 1982, has anyone had one, what should I look out for and whats the
maximum price to pay?

It's an enlarged Honda 400 Super Dream and as such is to be avoided. The
400 simply wasn't strong enough and was prone to bottom end gremlins
unless *very* well cared for.

Its only dubious claim to fame is that it's the bike that Prince is
sitting on in the Purple Rain pic - he's a short-arse so I guess it was
the only one he could hold upright.

And the 400 Super Dream engine is horrible: very flat, very dull. If
it's in very good nick and cheap, like 500 quid or less, then maybe, but
otherwise I'd look elsewhere.
