Serves you right for letting them in the house in the first place.

Well it was like WWIII around here last night. There's no way they could
have been left outside. They've got really sensitive hearing, so it's bad
    news with modern bangers.

When I lived on my boat, the dog used to kip in a coil o rope on the
    foredeck.

We just had some go off round here that seemed to shake the house on
    its foundations.

I guess that's modern building methods for you.

A pub in Beeston got one chucked into the lounge last year. Took out all
the windows and broke every glass in the place.

  10. I love this.

"I play the nuclear card. You're all wrong. I'm right!"

Then: "OK, so your joker beat my nuclear card. I'm still right!"

Not one shred of evidence, not one piece of fact - just mindless drivel.
And *a lot* of evidence has been provided by others - myself included.

Still, ignorance is bliss. Dessie-poos is a happy man.

He had just called her something along the lines of a cheese eating
surrender monkey. Which had me in stitches, particularly when she
    gave her retort!

Since the election, I've made an effort to grab each night's Daily Show
(from suprnova.org) for the best in topical yank comedy.

  12. And this is despite several of the dictionary sites *using* it as an
    example of a superpower..

This weeks "I can't see it because my eyes are shut" award goes to Des.
Along with the many others he has collected.

  13. For the majority it made no (or next to no) difference at all - the
British tended to rule by defeating whoever was in power[1] and then
putting in place another (more compliant) local. Sort of like the
    Romans did in Britain.
Indeed. And judging by what happened in parts of China when the
Japanese took over they should be profoundly grateful..

Did you never see his web page, set up to support a lie on aadp, where
he posted a false CV claiming to actually be a lawyer working for the
    French prosecution service?

Please tell me you are joking. Please, please, please. Nobody, not even
    Des, could be that sad.

That's beyond sadness: it's like a sort of Greek tragedy collapsed into
a black hole of concentrated misery.
