I might, bit of a trek down early in the morning though, so only if the
    weather is good.

I've got the day off work and fancy a pleasant bimble through Bucks and
Oxon to scrub in tyres and CL SBK3 pads ;-)

SteveH fascinated us all by saying...
Depends on what time I fall out of my pit. It may be better to meet at
    the H&J at 11am.

    .......... or 12?

Isn't there a sort of bloody high likelihood the janitors are going to be
swarming all over that area Sunday 'though after the RSV pile-up?

FWIW I'm still trying to figure how that bloke ploughed into the roundabout
under the A 421 by-pass at Cardington last week - OK he *was* being chased
by the janitors but the approach is very clear even at three figures -
Still he seems not to have seen a fk off great big roundabout with fk off
great big shinny chevrons and white arrow blue disk and just gone in a
straight line to nut a lamppost. I wonder if he was trying to swing around
a cage or somesuch? The report in the paper doesn't mention another vehicle
but I can't see how the fk he did it elsewise.

I got a second opinion this evening..

"Christ, that's f*cked" said the person offering the second opinion.

I think I can buy a chain and front sprocket tomorrow though, it's just
a matter of whether I can find someone (prolly a bike dealership) with a
    proper chain tool.[1]

    [1] 530 X ring chain.. not sure it's do-able meself..

  13. Getting the old chain off is no prob - just hacksaw through it. Securing
the soft link on the new one might need a decent tool, though.

  15. Hmm, wife's away at her mum's the weekend, so no DIY planned just yet. I
wonder if my bike will start.

If I do go, I'll pretend to be scrubbing tyres in also, as it's bound to
    be crawling with plod.

Almost certainly and the reason I won't be bothering. Think I'll just
find some nice quiet local roads.

How's the Spanish Mansion coming along?

  18. Still trying to get quotes organised. It looks like it's going to eat my
contingency fund. Seriously considering selling up here and moving out
    there. Work stinks.
