.... how to unbolt the clutch reservoir lid on the Pan Euro? The fluid
level appears to be a bit low, but the screws are well tight and seem
    to be made of cheese...

Oh, and I dropped it today in the work carpark. Now all I need to
learn is the proper technique of picking it up again.

Listen, I've got this Dymo thingy here. Seeing as it's you, I'll do you
    a favour.

Ride the bike over here. I've got a label printed out for you. We'll
    stick it to the screen.

    It reads:

    "No user serviceable parts inside"

    There. Feel better now?

Metal, I think. Of course, with the usual rubber parts underneath, so
heating it up it not an option.

Sound plan. Your workshop equipment should easily be up to the task of
    removing the two screws.

Try covering it with a towel and pouring **HOT** water onto it from a kettle
    for about 5mins.
Sounds crazy but it often works.
Then replace screws with s/s ones and use copaslip.

Piece of wood to support the bar end. Sharp smack with impact driver. If it
shears the screws, at least you can get the lid off and wind the broken off
threaded sections with mole grips. If it cheeses the screw slots, drilling
    is the only way....

... how to unbolt the clutch reservoir lid on the Pan Euro? The fluid
Drill off the heads. Tap the cover off gently, remove all the fluid with
rags carefully, clean out the reservoir, apply a HOT soldering iron to the
ends of the screw that are left for a few mins, use mole grips and unwind
    them.

Picking up bike best left to someone that's strong then ;-)

I've been told that S/S screws exacerbate the dissimilar metals problem.
    Oddly.

Personally I've not had the problem and rely on *small* amounts of copper
grease or loctite to prevent corrosion seizures.
