    Coz.
    I'm looking to change banks.
    And
It appears that if a A&L member recommends a friend (1) we both 50 sovs.
Now although I can easily apply on line and open the account, the
opportunity for easy money doesn't come often, so I wondered if anybody
wants to be my friend for the day?
Don't zactly know what's involved at present, but still worth a go.

    (1) not that I can really be classed as such

  3. Bad form etc but the details are here:
    http://www.alliance-leicester.co.uk/currentaccounts/index.asp?page=recommend-friend&ct=curraccfaq

Effectively, download a form, add my account number and name. Add your
shiny new account number and name. Pay £500 into your account. We win 50
    notes each.

    Bargain.

  8. FYYFF I got there first. Besides, it seems your lot already earn 15k a
year more than the other folk.

Me and a pal tried this with Smile, for a case of wine rather
    than 50 sovs.

Accounts have been open for a month and no wine yet.

  14. I'm with First Direct, and they're doing something similar - recommend
someone, they pay £100 into an account, and you both get £35.
Obviously a theme between the banks then.

Guess it must be a new carrot thingy then.
I was genuinely looking to change banks and I'm having a few issue with my
present one. And I don't think the £50 carrot would have made much
difference to my choice. I went for this particular account because of the
high rate of interest paid on the current account.
    I hope!
