any vicpol coppers out there? trying to understand something.............

  1. hello

At the risk of having my head bitten off and being flammed off this
site, because I am a girl, I have a really risky question to ask; why
don't victoria police harrass the outlaw motor cycle gangs OMCG the way
that south australia, northern territory, western australia and
    queensland do?

I am trying to write an essay for RMIT based on the concept of
"community policing". Please take pity on me its a bit like watching
paint dry, only with paint you get to pick a colour. (I like magenta,
like to see the blue in it, don't like red only magenta).

If it helps I got a DCM from the Victoria police force. Really proud
of that think it was worth seventy five bucks and four hours in some
stupid test to walk in to the office in charge and say "'hello dickhead
whats your name?" I am not going to tell you which station that this
    occurred it.

any way any comments? please try to be nice - because I am studying I
can't buy my dream car. And I can't make up my mind what my dream bike
    would be.....................

  2. I think you'll find they do. You just don't hear as much about it.
WTF's a DCM and can I get one too?
Go with your heart. Take no notice of rationality or what the bank manager
    or anyone else thinks.

we dont harrass, we police them :)

they dont make c**ts of themselves and we let them ride around in peace

personally i find the e/states 1%'ers more likeable , the local ones seem to
find necessary to live up their "bad boy" image

  4. I couldn't agree more, corks! The last time I was threatened to be "hung up
and crippled some more" was in the Northern Territory. The eastern states
coppers are _way_ more friendly (tho' I did get kicked out of town in QLD
    once). %-)

  5. tell me more corks

was broken into in 2003, made report nothing happened. got pulled over
and was told I couldn;t ride the bike I was on because i was a girl.
it this stage i was sitting on a valid score for vic pol which later
was terminated because of ""specific comments""

came off my bike after being hit by a car in a small country town in
gippsland. when I walked broken and bleeding into the local police
station the bloke behind the counter told me to p#$$ off he was too
busy to ring an ambulance. one law for blokes another law if you are
    a girl?

ps nice kawasaki, that was the one I riding today

  6. DCM = "Don't Come Monday" (? ;-)

    i.e., "You're fired!"

You may well get flamed but it won't be for being a girl; it'd be more
likely because you'd made stupid statement like that!

Hmmm... three different Kawasakis there. At least that narrows it down a
    bit though!

Mine were generally "go and clean out your desk now" never quite made it to
    Monday.

You must've been really unlucky, and got a bastard on a bad hair day. I
can't speak highly enough of the coppers I've had to deal with (apart from
No no no! Not so!!!!!!! Oh please, please don't say stuff like that....Maybe
he figured if you could walk into the cop-shop you didn't need an
ambulance..... don't play the gender card - he probably treated you exactly
the same way he would've treated any bloke who walked into the station....
"mate, if you can walk, you don't need an ambulance...."

Sometimes gender equity is bloody uncomfortable...

I have certainly noticed gender bias here in sunny Queensland, my wife gets
away with just about anything from the constabulary. She has been done 3
times for speeding on her bike (in 2 and a half years of riding), one time
she only got a warning (doing only 15 Km/h over), one time when I was riding
with her she was over 40 km/h over the limit got booked for 10 km/h over (or
whatever the minimum is) and only once has she been booked for the offense
she was doing (20 km/h over). Meanwhile in 19 Years of riding I have only
been caught speeding once and was hit with the full fine despite the fact
that the 60 sign post had been blocked from view (we could see it from where
I was pulled over) and I was in an area where I had not been before (which I
kindly pointed out to the officer).
