    I've seen a 1988 DT200 for sale locally, 14k miles, imported about 4
years ago, has the FOAK got any opinions (1) or advice etc that they'd
    like to share?

    (1) of the bike might be nice, but that's unlikely - obviously

    Yes.

It's far too good for you and I should be allowed to take it away for
    free.

    That is all.

  3. Yes. I wish I'd bought the one my mate was selling and not the bag of
    bolts TS100 instead.

I hated the TS125ER and all the ER series really. They were absolutely
    shite off-road.

The pre-ER TS's were rather nifty
    Mate of mine had a 185 and a 250.
I nearly put the 185 through my folks front window, on it's back wheel.

  6. This was a TS100C and used to hole the piston every 1000 miles. I never
got a chance to use it off road. It was literally a bag of bolts (and
rolling chassis) when I bought it for fifty quid.

Proper TS's ended with the "C".

  8. My maaan...

Mine was blue, had power everywhere and had a speedo that went from 0-
    100 in about 3 seconds!

My 185 indicated 80 down Bluebell Hill, once...and about 25 back up it
    again.

Maximum rebore size and finally seized solid[1] in 11000 miles.

    Oh, to be 17 again.

[1] final rebuild sans gudgeon pin circlips. Test ride was quite
    brief, iirc.

  10. I never did find out what mine indicated: The higher the revs, more more
    swingy the speedo.
Must've rebuilt mine 6 times. The spark plug melted and put a hole in
the piston and sprayed crap all round the crank. That was the last time.
I gave it away to the bloke that bought my DT125.

The KH500 does that. It was indicating 20mph whilst I was sat astride
stuffing a carton of milk inside my coat on Saturday.

  13. It was a good bike. That seized as well but only once and I did loads of
    miles on it.

same, mine was purple. Replaced by an XJ600 then a TDR250 (which is now
sadly in boxes in a garage).

  16. Mine was red and white and was replaced by a mk2 Escort.

I was living at home and my old man said I couldn't keep both in the
    garage.
