about relocating in Lubbock. was down your way 2 years ago over labor
day and loved it. easy town to get around in and the friendliest
people i ever met. if your out there let me know and if i have met you
remember corvairbob was looking at frito-lay for a job.

Welcome to Texas (if you make it).
Can I ask you a question? Lubbock?! Are you out of your freekin' skull? I'd
shoot myself in the foot to keep from having to go to Lubbock.
Sorry, I have been traumatized by trips through the staked plains too many
    times.

    Lubbock? Lubbock!!!

It may have some of the worst summers in Texas, but at least it has
some of the worst winters to make up for it.

Lubbock and West Texas separates the real Texans from those weaklings who
    merely claim to be Texans.

    Native born Texan here.

Got kin out in Dumas. BTDT Got the T. Too flat for good ridin' roads.
The only good thing about it is that, if you live there, you don't
have to ride TO there to get to CO and NE. :)

That sounds more like Amarillo. O'course Lubbock has a few more fence
    posts, I think.

nope. i have been researching Texas and AZ. for about the last 6 years
and find Lubbock’s climate to be most reasonable. dry warm and not so
much trouble with excess rain snow drought. driving around the town is
good and the town has been set up real good. they have plenty of car
show stuff going on and the car show people are nice.
the other towns outside of TX. don’t quite seem friendly? SC.
people were about half nice, Ohio people are about the most unfriendly
people i every ran across. there could be others but i have not been
to all the states. most places the people just minded there own
business and did not seem quite as friendly as the people in TX.
yea i know not Texans are nice and not all Ohioin’s are not bad but
my experience is all i have to go on.
Lubbock’s is kinda out in the middle of nowhere and it kind of
reminds me of that episode on start treck where ricker picard and the
others get stuck in that casino and had to play out the role to escape
but all that aside i still think i may relocate there.
    thanks for the input though.
