Any decent paint sprayers in the house?

  1. Only I've won this fairing panel for the Trophy.

Brand new, 51 quid instead of over 200, but it's the wrong colour. I
have plenty of old mangled bodywork in the correct colour to use as a
    match.

(This is the panel I repaired invisible after the off, but it's the one
that's been "Doctored" before, so a cheap replacement is welcome).

  2. IIRC Pip's mate does a good job at reasonable price, as long as there's
    no urgency.

I'll vouch for the house of Beav when it comes to this sort of thing.

Having seen the results of Beav's handiwork on Christofire's Triumph,
I'd go along with this. You can't tell it's been re-painted at all.

  8. Hmmmmm.....

Beav - where are you and what would you charge for spraying up a fairing
panel? I can supply a bust faring panel for colour matching.

  9. No stickers whatsoever, so no worries there.
Sounds OK, but I dunno about getting it up to Notlob. Helluva long way.
No offence, but I'l see if I can get it done locally first. It'd just be
    easier.

Did you see my question about doing the MV seat unit in another thread?

The gist of it was the MV's got a small dent & scratch in the side of
the seat unit where it got pushed over by the scrotes who broke into my
garage. It's a little hard to explain, but it's kinda like an indented
scratch that's bent the plastic in.

The scratch hasn't gone through the paint, so I /might/ be able to
polish it out, but I don't know how to tackle the dent. It's too
'sharp' to pop back into place - more like a crease really. Is it worth
trying something like a heat gun, or should I just box it up & send it
your way? Or is plastic repair (rather than just painting) not
    something you do?

I can do some pics later & email them if it helps.

OK thanks for that, I'll give the heat gun a go first then.
