What a load of fucking cock. If it's using road bearings at all it's up
to the job.

 

Worn or corroded? New bearings include new surfaces and the stub axle
can be in a fairly shite condition as long as it still provides
sufficient good area for the bearing inners to grip on. You didn't think
I was suggesting using it as is, did you? A new set of bearing are a
must, even if the old ones aren't noisy or rough in the slightest.

 

Surely you're not suggesting that I should even check the wheel
bearings on my sidecar or, much worse, possibly change them?
