  4. Worn or corroded? New bearings include new surfaces and the stub axle
    can be in a fairly shite condition as long as it still provides
    sufficient good area for the bearing inners to grip on. You didn't think
    I was suggesting using it as is, did you? A new set of bearing are a
    must, even if the old ones aren't noisy or rough in the slightest.
