Any crash you can hobble away from is a good one

Oh, gloves are optional when it's really hot.

Hmm... well I'd rather wear sunglasses and see where I'm going than ride
into the back of something when blinded by the sun. Dark visors don't
work for me since I often ride into work as the sun is coming up and
home when it's dark. Changing visors is a hassle, I'll stick with sun
    glasses.

Not being able to see where you're going could be considered a touch dumb.

But you're an old **** aren't you? 50 or so? You've done well enough not
dropping a bike in 33 years (as always, I'm assuming things here).

fx: counts... I've had about four years since my last broken bone. I
think I've posted about *three* in the time I've been posting here.

When it's too fucking hot, it's too fucking hot. Are people more or less
likely to make a bad decision because they're sweating like a pig in full
    leathers?

The bungs for the 9R include a new coolant bottle as well, because you
can't drill holes in the original and keep it watertight. If you need
any fiting to a 9R or Gixer then give me a bell cos I'm not frightened
of drilling clean holes in fairings.

  10. In uk.rec.motorcycles, Statto belched forth and ejected the following:
    Heh.

You might want to take a few days off work. That concussion can be a
    bastard.

I know, and I'm one of them. But get a whack on the bonce and the specs
can transfer the force nicely to the bridge of your nose with much
    claret as a result.

It'd be lovely if I could wear contacts instead. If only.

Whew just as well you weren't on a MAG rideout, the helmet is a mess.
Surprised the leathers and gloves have gone right through as well.
    Hmmmm.....

Good to hear that you are basically intact anyway. Real shame about
    Chimay though.

    Fucking Methusala's my first born:)

    50 or so?

Closer to 60 than I want to be. 57 I is.

    You've done well enough not
I've been lucky, and I've been careful and I've also been mental on
occasion, but I've not fallen into the trap of thinking becuase I've not
    binned, I won't. It's 40 years btw, but I haven't ridden in every single
    one.
Even on the occasion I did bin a bike, I didn't break anything. The bin was
totally my own stupid fault too, but it taught me to make sure cables don't
pull throttles wide open when handlebars move in the clamps.

96 I think. I always thought it was Champ that had made the post, but
apparently it wasn't. I'm 99% sure it was a ZZR1100 rider of some
    description, though. Google isn't helping.
