Yeah, looks like the alternator(?) cover has worn through.

Statto, when I offer a bike as a loaner, it's generally not the smartest
bike in the Chateau. In this case, it'd be a CD250. But it cruises at
65-70, and as it's only worth about £350 I'm not really too concerned
    what happens to it.

(O'd love to have you as my bitch, sweetie, but your fat arse and the
lack of luggage carrying ability on the Z650 makes it a non-starter)

Cheers for that, but I doubt I'll be able to ride/drive for at least a
    week.

Lid and gloves are the only musts. Anything else is optional (though it
has to be said, gravel rash really fucking hurts at times, but not as
much as the bruises and muscle damage.)

Wearing specs under a lid, that's a fucking mistake...

Bummer. Having done the same kind of thing last week, at slower speed
    but with similar results, IK*E*HYF.
That's impressive. What are they? R&Gs? Do they attach to an engine
    mount or something?

    So anyway, GWS etc.

Well indeed, but unfortunaely, the two have been known to coincide.
Fortunately, it's never happened to me, but that's not to say..
And you don't have to be a clumsy **** to get tipped off either, although I
    suppose it helps.
    It's not?

I'd be better trying to fall off instead, because so far, it's never
happened. Well not since I was 17 anyway.

I think it's probably a good thing to be able to see where you're going
    though.

Seriously strong stuff - laughs in the face of McEwans(?) Champion. I'd
post the before and after shots, but I'm not that much of a glutton for
    punishment.

Yes, R&Gs and the supplied bolts replace engine mounts

Found a bottle of screw cap wine that is currently being drained. Will
    that be an acceptable substitute?
I can still wal^H^H^Hhobble, so I think I'll call it quits.

I've not taken scrumpy to excess in the past, nor do I intend to in
the future. That is not to say that it won't happen though.
I can't cope with corkscrews ATM.

    GWS and all that.

I can see why you might not want to ride...

But drive? Do you really need a right hand for that once you've started
    the engine...

Of course insurance might be a bit of a problem but it's never stopped
me when I've broken an arm/leg.
