The concept looks very interesting but I'd like to try one on if possible
    before buying.

Unfortunately the company is very coy about naming dealers/distributors and
it looks like the only way to buy is on-line.

I'd be interested to hear other folks experiences with them.

I think they are full of shite personally, I don't believe they are for
    sale anywhere

Why? Have you stuck your head in one?
It would seem on-line is the only way to buy. Be nice to hear some feedback
    from someone with actual experience.

Weird. Just realised that whilst I thought "anyone", my traitorous fingers
    typed "any".

    Apologies for any offence caused.

I think Donnie is close to the truth, you know, and you might struggle
to find anyone who has bought one - nobody here that I know of, for
    example.

I also think that a helmet fitted with a lookbackroscope isn't the thing
for a new rider, TBH. You concentrate on what's about to kill you from
the front and sides, let behind take care of itself - but that look over
your shoulder is called a lifesaver for a reason and don't forget that.

And don't forget to cancel your indicators, Fatty.

I take your point about it not being a replacement for lifesavers etc. I
just wonder whether it might not in fact be the future for helmets. So many
safety features in cars started off as optional extras that many folk
disputed the need for- seat belts for example.

    I'll probably not bother.
Damn! This group seems to have spies everywhere! ;-)

    You're just sulking, still.

I saw one of those lids at a show once, some years back. It was not
    overly impressive.

There are a few online reviews out there, including people who bought
one. Generally positive once they get used to them, other than having
to tilt your head up or down to point it in the right direction.

They've been put there by Reevu themselves as far as Im concerned, I've
never seen one for sale in the 5 or 6 years since they supposedly
    started selling them.

Some maybe, but I'm pretty sure I saw one on PistonHeads from a regular.
They've always sold them direct, dunno if they've got any distributors.

Graham had one at GLF as a demo. I tried it and thought it was shit.
You saw **** all behind you if you were in the wrong position and we
concluded they'd only work for some people on a certain style of bike.
As an item to suit the majority of riders for even half the time they
    were pretty useless.

A very highly priced gimmick that I can imagine the BMW owning IAM
types would buy to replace their equally useless Schuberths.

Where? Can you point me to an online link as in an actual reevu site
where I can buy one online?[1]

[1]And I don't mean emailing them etc, I mean an online buy, much like
any other large (or small) motorcycle item can be bought?

I'd like to try one I have to admit, on the scooter I imagine it could
be quite useful as I have one mirror which is about 50% useful at best,
on saying that I have always been good at doing my lifesavers.
    heh heh

Yeah I know you can't at the moment, probably because they're waiting
for a new model to be ready. Funnily enough you'll have the same
problem if you try to order an MK carbon fibre windsurfing boom & mast
at the moment. Phoning them gets a recorded message saying they're
getting the new models ready & will be selling again at the end of May.
They're also a tiny company making pretty specialised products who only
    sell direct.

I think you're an optimist at heart, "can't at the moment", you never
could, again, I think they as a company are full of it, in the 5 plus
years maybe more, that they've supposedly been selling them Ive never
heard of anyone having one outside of people seeing them at shows. Ah,
just looked at their site which has a 2003 copyright on it so more than
    5 years after all.

For a laugh Ive just sent an email to their email link to buy one so
Ill see what happens from that.

Re the MK carbon fibre booms, well their website still has on it
"2009 Full Carbon Monocoque Booms... Brand New Range! "

So, by my calculations you'll be waiting until 2013 when it'll say
"2011 Full Carbon Monocoque Booms... Brand New Range! "

They have been around for a very long time. Started out just doing
pushbike helmets I believe, many many years ago.
Says 2010 models when you click further. And lots of people have them
so I don't doubt they'll return. So yeah, maybe I am an optimist!

Hmm yes again the cynic in me would point out that he never turned up
at snetterton to show his mates and never did post any pics when "his
phone charged up" and then the user name rvmsx1 has only ever made 2
posts and they were pushing the helmet!
Or maybe Im overly cynical with a bit of pessimism and pedantry thrown
    in the mix :)

    I really like my S1 Pro and I'm seriously considering a C3. What's
    wrong with Schuberths?
