    They still do that I think.

    What I wanted was one bill, one contract, one set of minutes/texts,
    but two handsets with a phone number each.

    Currently I have two handsets (each with it's own contract) that are
    billed on one Orange account. Just seemed to make more sense to me to
    have them on one contract but Orange wouldn't do it.

    See above. Orange told me they did that for business contracts but
    personal ones.
