    Huh ?.
Anything involving injuneering or fizicks still gets done in Fortran,
nobody has yet invented a better way. Fitness for purpose innit.

losers that have to result to using assemblers just can't hack binary
    machine code.

Though you're essentially correct - i was forced to use Pascal, ADA
and [1] Occam at Uni. All completely useless in the real world. I
still have fond feelings for 6502 and Z80 machine code, though.

There's always the option of not telling them about your personal health
    issues.

And then be sacked for not disclosing it at the interview - yeah right!

I'm not sure that anyone can use your medical information as a reason for
not employing you, so why should it matter?. I'm not even sure if they
actually have a right to ask, but I do know that I wouldn't tell them unless
they asked a specific question and then told me why they wanted to know.

  11. Well not, not legally (unless it would be a safety issue), but they
wouldn't actually tell him that, they'd just find a more suitable
    candidate.
By which time you'll have dropped down the list of suitable candidates.

You mean like the Fire Service who wouldn't give me a job because I
    can't see un-aided?

  14. I'm not sure why people are surprised at this. As a business, I don't
want to employ someone for a job if they are not going to be there to
do that job. Sure, we all get sick every now and again (actually, touch
wood, I don't, but I understand I'm outside the bell curve), but for
those that are going to be excessively sick or long term sick, why
would I want to spend my money to employ them and not receive the
    labours/expertise in return?

They're perfectly entitled to ask about medical conditions likely to
prevent you from working in the foreseeable future and if you hide
anything they can bin you if they choose to.

That's the ewhole point isn't it. Lozzo's concerned that if he doesn't tell
them, they'll sack him if they find out and yet if they find out before they
hire him, they just won't hire him in the firsdt place.

I'd keep my gob shut and if they kicked up a fuss when (if) they found out,
I'd consider lawyering up and fighting.
Actually *I* wouldn't, coz I've not worked for anyone (so no interviews)
since the early 80's and I'm not about to start now.
