No details yet, but I just got home and the intersection at Little Rd
and 287 was closed. I approached from the South side and they
wouldn't let anyone through. So, I had to go around (which isn't
exactly like getting around the block). Came back on the intersection
from the W. side of I-20 / 287 and it was closed in that direction
too, but I could make the right-hander to get me home.

There was a bike, pretty twisted up in the street.....some glass and a
car pulled over that clearly had made contact with the bike. I'm
guessing the biker was DOA or severely injured because they don't
normally shut the whole intersection down for an accident unless they
have to have the crime scene unit come in (death). The intersection
had been shut down for a while, too, because it was fairly "calm."
They just weren't letting people through the intersection near the
    accident.

I hope the guy / girl made it, but I doubt it. Might be something on
the news, but I didn't see any TV vans there. That's a bad
intersection. I drive through it every day, several times, and almost
every time someone runs the red light there.

  2. too bad, we bikers really hate hearing that sort of thing......but it
happens....like any other sport, there's this thing called Risk.
