http://www.bbc.co.uk/science/humanbody/sleep/sheep/ I'm mostly a "Bobbing Bob Cat", with averages around 0.25sec. With some deep breathes and more intense concentration I got myself to "Rocketing Rabbit" with an avg of .18sec. -- Please add "imo" to above post. about the same. Though I did suffer from shooting off too early a few times[1] [1] you'd think I'd be past that stage at my age.
heh. Me too. But on one occasion, when I anticpated too soon, I was suprised to discover a comatose sheep actually in the pen. When the results came up I was credited with a reaction time of 0.000 seconds for that one. -- Please add "imo" to above post. Have you tried using your peripheral vision to detect the sheep's movement, you'll knock a couple of hundredths of your reaction time.
I'm an Bobbing Bobcat with an average of .20 but it was the look on the sheep's faces that stopped me getting a better time with the others because I was laughing.
I tried both de-focussing and looking at the screen generall, and concentrating on the pen. I got better results using the latter. -- Please add "imo" to above post. ISTR something about there being a greater concentration of motion detectors around ones peripheral vision; a throw back from when we had to be wary of predators. I've just tried it again and I'm back in the 0.25s either way, maybe I've just subconsciously dismissed sheep as a threat.
TOG@toil, , All five stopped on 0.186 or 0.187 - three times running. Scarily consistent if not particularly quick.
No, that is quick - quicker than all but my best go, anyway. I'm going to put the blame on a dodgy mouse. -- Please add "imo" to above post. Champ GSX-R 1000, GPz 750 turbo, ZX7RR Endurance Racer x 2 GYASB#0 BotToS#2 BOTAFO(T|F)#35 WG*#1 DFV#8 Team UKRM Racing : www.team-ukrm.com
Fair enough - I'm using a tuned-to-the-bollocks superduper ergonomic MS wireless optical mouse, finished in go-faster titanium, with black grip panels and a see-through tilting scrollwheel. What really gives the edge is the very recently-imported RatpadzGS mousemat (the GS stands for Gaming Surface) which offers minimal comfort along with minimal friction and zero squish. And anyway, my finger's faster than your finger. Yarboo.
Fucking typical - some average bloke turns up and wheels the latest high tech kit into the paddock, and proceeds to trounce everyone. "Speeds just a question of money - how fast can you go?" Guess what my finger's doing right now. -- Please add "imo" to above post. Make that 0.1822 (I blame the wine!). Followed shortly after by a 0.169 I wonder how much I'll improve by the time I've finished the bottle? Tony
