A method I've seen adopted with success is to crush an old drinks can,
punch a few extra holes through it, ram it down the can, point a can of
Black Sperex down the can and let fly.

Adding a wire loop to the crushed can so it's easy to hook it out is
advised. Allegedly.

My little sister, nicked for TDA and all the usual underage driving
offences when she was 15. She stupidly borrowed her boyfriend's Cortina
Mk3 to pick up school friends one morning and got caught. She got
banned for a year and had the usual stack of fines.

She's now a special constable.

Whenever I look for prices for insurance, which is 4 times a year,

I was brought up within a fairly defined set of rules. I may have bent
or even broken the rules set by my parents, but I certainly didn't do
anything remotely illegal at that age. My father would've killed me,
for starters.

I am specifically talking about riding & driving whilst unlicenced and
uninsured, and I think that that should be condemned whatever one's age.

And the perp deemed a bit of a scrote.

 

I learned to drive when I was 12 to 15[1] in 'borrowed' Mk1/2 Cortinas
and Minis, I wouldn't condone any child doing the same kind of thing
nowadays. As a crowd we would mooch around the various villages close
by hanging about with mates from school who lived there and at 9pm we'd
go looking for motorised transport home. Said transport would be parked
up undamaged on someone's driveway in our village to be found the next
day by the houseowner and returned to its rightful owner by the police.

[1] I stopped this malarky when a mate got a year's worth of being
banged up in YDC for doing the same thing. He parked up on the wrong
driveway as the copper who lived there came home.

I've beat myself up almost my entire adult life over a few incidents where
we got to and from remote parties by half inching someone's cage off the
drive, leaving it back near their house, pretty much as we found it. There
were one or two scrote temperaments in the cabal.
I hate petty tea leaves and although no harm was actually done it was only
chance that someone's property didn't get trashed.
I hope I've done enough in the world to rebalance my Karma.

 

I wouldn't worry about it - by the sound of it CT's goody-two-shoes
youth should more than make up for it.
