Another "interestingly" priced bike

Yes, actually. There's a reason why the aircraft industry
stores idle aircraft in states like Arizona and Colorado rather than in
California. See if you can work it out...
It's my *job* to nit-pick. Some of my lasting contributions to
the world's scientific knowledge, and some of those of my colleagues,
arise from noticing small anomalies and chasing the reasons for them.
This group is not necessarily about restoration, and that
    Honda was never restored anyway.

That was exactly my point.............the bike has not been restored
and is in extremely good condition! To restore a bike properly would
cost more than £3.2k, and it would be worth less than an original
machine..............so it really is a bit cuntish to suggest £3.2k is
    pricey dont u think?

Does that explain the rather tacky stick-on trim round the bottom of the
tank? Rather spoils it IMHO, but I still wouldn't turn it down if
someone gave me one... 'specially _that_ one!

If you're talking about the chrome strip, that's original.

  6. Yep. And just about unobtainable now.

I think I've got one in the garage, if anyone needs one. Price tba.

Yes I realised that, but I don't remember seeing it on UK ones -thought
it was a Yank market add-on (they love chrome strips).

Prolly wrong per usual though, but IMHO it'd look nicer without it.

Standard on the CB500-Four. It took one of my customers 2 years to find
a complete set of chromes for his restored one, they came from all over
    the world.
