Just left the job I've been in for nearly 8 years. There are things
I'll miss, and things I won't. Oh well, life is change.

Yep, change is the one thing you can count on. Good luck in what ever
you choose to do next. :)

I need to have a quick word with you before you start, but don't tell
anyone you know me til after you've seen me up there. I'm up at the
warehouse on Wednesday and need to contact you before you start. I'm
    hatching a plan :)

  4. You can also count on death ;-)
Yes. Well done DR. There's something deeply satisfying about starting a
new job and politely telling the old one you're off.

I always thought that death and taxes were generally considered pretty
    unavoidable ;o)

Just another form of change, when you look at it; from not being dead
    to, well, being dead.

May be slightly too late for that, I'm afraid. Bill says hello.

I had plans to do a mind-reading stunt when I went to the warehouse. No-
one would have suspected that I knew you as we live 350 miles apart.

I managed a whole 2 hours of 'resting' before the phone rang and now I'm
back at my old desk on Monday but working for a different company.
Ho hum that'll be four companies I've worked for in the past 3 years
    without moving desks.

In theory, today would have been my first day whoring for a new corporate,
but the muppet management haven't yet got the contract ready for signature.
As this is very big and high-profile, I'm eagerly anticipating line-up
changes at a very senior level by the end of the year.

I'm slightly pissed off that I probably won't now transfer from one employer
    to another while off sick.

Bill asked what I knew of the company, and I told him that I knew you,
and how. I think Brad was there also. Anyone else wouldn't know.

  12. Can't argue there. Until very recently I might have said that job
satisfaction was more important, but after the last three months working
where I was, the shit pay reminded me that the job isn't everything.
