Let's say I bought a red anodised swing arm and I wanted it black
(anodised). Would this be possible and more importantly: is it expensive?

    Spete expressed the following:
IIRC the dye inside is trapped inside during the sealing process and
you'll need to strip the anodising and start again. I could be wrong of
course as in my line of business anodising is used for corrosion
    protection, not cosmetic finish.

Using the patented Mavis Beacon "Hunt&Peck" Technique, Spete
    It's very, very cheap.

Just leave it outside Pixie Central and it'll end up black.

It might be some of "Pip's special anodizing" but, so long as you don't
get it DNA tested, then job's a good 'un.
