I am to be a grandad(ish).

My middle daughter Jessica[1] is 12 weeks up the duff. I hope it's a
big one because it's going to be full on comedy seeing her full-term as
she's only 4ft 11 tall

Many congrats. There must be something in the water as we learnt
yesterday we are to become first time grandparents too, isn't it just
the most FUCKING brilliant feeling.

I inherited Jess with her brother and sister after their dad died when
Dan was 4 months old. I was living with their mum for 7 years from when
Dan was 13 months and they all grew up with me as their dad, and I've
been there for them ever since even after I moved out of the family
home. Dan and Gina can't remember their real father so they look on me
as their absent dad and I treat them as my own.

That explain it for you?

If I ever reached a point where I needed you to feel sorry for me I'd

I seemed to have more success convincing them that they were utterly
beautiful at those times than I remembered having with their mother.
