Indeed. A lot of people ventured out on cold freeezing Sunday mornings
primarily to meet up with other UKRMers. I don't think it was
necessarily to do with "biking" IYSWIM. Perhaps the people who go now
    are just dull. [1]

[1] Perhaps that was always the case.

    <2p worth>
I love riding in nearly all situations, but when fun and excitement
turns to stress (as opposed to "one of those moments") then the
    enjoyment has gone.
The best thing about the snow so far has been the 'video game' effect of
'making progress' into a snowstorm of large flakes knowing it is not
settling so it's just a wet road with special effects.

  3. What's happened to everyone? I can remember turning up for the BOTAFOT
many times in the absolutely *pissing* rain. And I was rarely the only
attendee. The weather was never an issue. There's photos somewhere of
the first anni meet. I seem to remember the car park was white over...

Perhaps that's the reason people don't go any more.

I like the idea of a proper annifot, perhaps (if there's enough interest) we
could lead on to the newly discovered extended route.

This is my last day at work, so my broadband may be cut short at home very
quickly, either way I'll put together a plan and have someone post the
    details up during this week.

  7. Not "solidarity" - "camaraderie". And what's this preoccupation with
    "binning"?

Oh, and what's with all the carriage returns?

Ben grabbed the crayons and scrawled
I would have been, but I'm in Cambridge on Saturday night getting
completely pissed, and doubt I'll be back in Oxford in time for the
    start.

As mentioned above, neither could I but would love to be there for the
    13th [1].

The way it's going at the moment it looks like some people will turn up on
the 6th, some people on the 13th and some others in June.

Usual top bit of UKRM organising :)
